A Massage Therapist uses massage to relieve tension, pain, and other ailments in patients, and promote general well-being. May specialize in a certain type of massage, such as deep-tissue or sports massage. May be self-employed or work in a private practice, spa, fitness center, or medical or chiropractic care facility.
Located in beautiful downtown Kailua, we are a contemporary, busy chiropractic wellness center that has integrated chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and physical therapy. We are looking for an energetic individual who is able to multitask. Must be outgoing, have a positive attitude, a professional appearance and a passion for health! This is a contract position and massages are generally focused on the patient's area of complaint. We offer 30, 60, 90 and occasional 120 minute therapy sessions with up to 15 minute breaks in-between. Massage supplies are provided. If interested, please reply by email and attach resume.

We Have Some Guidelines and Requests:
Ability to work all or some of the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Proficient with Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point, myofascial release, and pre-natal techniques Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, focus on a healthy body and mind Knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology Committed to your own health Strong computer skills Understands and believes in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork Experience in a chiropractic or health care setting a plus Job Responsibilities include: Perform massage therapy as directed by the doctor for the purpose of injury care, therapeutic improvement for musculo-skeletal conditions, stress reduction, and relaxation Maintain detailed and accurate patient records Perform chair massages and marketing at outreach events (occasionally) Assist with general office tasks, patient flow, and reception as needed Help maintain professionalism and cleanliness of therapy rooms and common areas Linens will be provided but you will be responsible for doing laundry equivalent to the amount of linens you use.
