Duties Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage to address client concerns. Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health history and goals. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend suitable therapies for ongoing pain management or relaxation. Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, client progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to all sanitation, safety, and licensing regulations mandated by state law. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain procedures, and provide exceptional customer service throughout each session. Stay current with industry best practices by participating in ongoing education and training in areas such as occupational health, anatomy knowledge, and new massage techniques. Qualifications Valid Iowa state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage. Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and education. Prior experience working in med spa settings or occupational health environments is preferred. Ability to demonstrate pain management techniques and adapt treatments for various client conditions.
