Job Description
Overview I am an established therapist with a loyal client base. I've been a therapist for 23 years and have been in private practice for 18 years. I rent my space from a chiropractor who has been in practice for 25 years. Referrals would come from myself and the chiropractor, and I would provide support in any way I can to help you build your practice. I generally do sports, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial, cupping, and orthopedic massage. But there is also demand for Swedish and other services and we have a great location in Iowa City right off Riverside drive near the Hampton Inn hotel. Ideally we want someone who is able to independently run their own practice and just pay a flat monthly fee for the room, but I understand that it can take time to build a consistent client base and want to be flexible. There are a couple options open to the right person: Option 1: We provide massage table, linens, clean laundry, lotion/oil, essential oils, and other amenities to get you started and you would be paid on a commission basis plus keep your tips. We could also provide an online scheduling system to manage your appointments as well as liability insurance through the AMTA. Commission would vary depending on how many hours you work. Option 2: You can set up your own practice and just pay a flat monthly fee for use of the room. We would still provide referrals as my practice is well established and so new clients could be referred to you by myself or the chiropractor. You must carry liability insurance and have an active license in the state of Iowa.
