Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team as an independent contractor and/or to rent an office suite in our integrative healthcare clinic. (We are open to exploring various partnership and collaborative agreement options). Pay range TBD and is dependent upon agreed contract terms. Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current conditions, and specific pain points. Educate clients on treatment options, self-care practices, and post-session care to maximize benefits. Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and privacy regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to develop comprehensive wellness strategies. Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by following proper sanitation procedures. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, addressing client questions, and fostering long-term relationships. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy to tailor treatments effectively. Proven experience in patient service with strong client communication skills. Expertise in various massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage modalities. Ability to assess patient conditions accurately and develop appropriate treatment plans. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management. Experience working in med spas or occupational health settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of pain management strategies and client-specific needs.
