Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and other modalities tailored to client needs Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during sessions Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide personalized recommendations Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and health history in compliance with privacy standards Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend additional therapies or wellness services as appropriate Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology through ongoing professional development Experience Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice massage therapy Proven experience in providing various massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy Prior experience working in med spa or wellness center settings is preferred Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively Experience managing pain relief and rehabilitation through targeted massage techniques is highly desirable Join us at Wellness Origin Spa Indianapolis where your skills will make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives.
