For over 20 years, we've built a strong reputation in functional nutrition, supporting clients through personalized, root-cause-focused care. We are now bringing that same standard of excellence into a multidisciplinary wellness center designed to offer a concierge-level experience that goes beyond traditional wellness standards. Duties & Expectations:

Deliver exceptional acupressure services, including the skilled application of pressure to acupoints and qi meridians, as well as complementary Asian bodywork techniques within your education, certifications, professional standards, and scope of practice. Provide acupressure services in accordance with Michigan law and applicable standards and ethics for your professional discipline, without representing services as massage therapy unless separately licensed to do so. Conduct thorough client intakes, health history reviews, contraindication screenings, and ongoing assessments to support safe, individualized sessions. Develop individualized session plans based on each client's goals and presenting concerns, adjusting recommendations as appropriate based on progress, response, and client feedback. Educate clients on session goals, what to expect during and after sessions, recommended follow-up, and supportive lifestyle considerations when appropriate. Reinforce recommended session cadence and help support client follow-through, continuity, and long-term progress. Maintain an exceptional session environment that is safe, clean, calm, and professionally organized while consistently upholding sanitation and hygiene protocols. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of client records, session notes, recommendations, and progress in all relevant systems. Communicate warmly and professionally with clients and team members to create a supportive, cohesive, and organized client experience. Respond to client and team inquiries in a timely, thoughtful, and professional manner. Collaborate with leadership and other wellness providers when appropriate to support whole-person client care, cross-referrals, and complementary services. Proactively support client retention by assisting with follow-up scheduling, reinforcing session recommendations, and helping re-engage clients who have fallen off track. Handle sensitive or complex client situations with professionalism and discretion, escalating concerns to leadership when appropriate. Participate in cross-functional collaboration, wellness center communication, administrative meetings, and training meetings as needed. Support positive relationships with on-site and community partners and represent Ann Arbor Holistic Health professionally in all community interactions. Communicate openly with leadership and flag client care, scheduling, or operational concerns in a timely, solution-oriented way. Maintain all required professional certifications, professional liability insurance, continuing education, and other credentials applicable to your training and professional discipline in good standing at all times.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a reputable acupressure, Asian bodywork, shiatsu, or closely related professional education program with substantial training in acupoints, meridian theory, anatomy, physiology, contraindications, client safety, and hands-on practice required. Current professional certification or credential in acupressure, Asian bodywork, shiatsu, or a closely related discipline from a recognized professional or educational organization preferred. Professional liability insurance appropriate to the services provided required. Demonstrated understanding of Michigan scope requirements applicable to acupressure and Asian bodywork, including the requirement not to represent services as massage or massage therapy unless separately licensed as a Michigan Massage Therapist. Additional certifications or specialized training preferred, particularly in modalities that complement a functional nutrition and whole-person approach. 2+ years of professional acupressure or Asian bodywork experience preferred. Strong professional judgment and commitment to safe, ethical, client-centered care. Warm, professional presence with excellent communication and client relationship skills. Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented. Genuine passion for holistic health, whole-person care, and client-centered outcomes. Comfortable with common office technology, including Google Suite, Zoom, scheduling platforms, and electronic client record systems.
