Job Description
Job Summary Hello and thank you for your interest. We are a well established Chiropractic office that has offered massage services for right around 20 years now. We have a clean, modern and safe office environment with a great office staff, and a wonderful patient base. We are in need of a talented licenced therapist who would like to join our team. Your job here would consist of doing 1, and 2 hour massage sessions. No marketing involved. We take care of all scheduling and laundry so you can focus on what you do best. Days and hours are negotiable. The latest work day ends at 6pm. and some saturdays just until noon. If you would like to learn more please email your resume, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and document client progress accurately. Educate clients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to support ongoing wellness. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards, including CPR certification and proper sanitation procedures. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and ensure comfort throughout sessions. Stay informed about current trends in massage therapy and incorporate new techniques such as pain management strategies when appropriate. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical personnel when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Experience Proven experience in massage therapy with a strong background in various modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage. Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices. Previous experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans. Experience with client communication skills that foster trust and promote positive outcomes. Certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist from an accredited institution is required; CPR certification is also essential. Prior exposure to occupational health settings or pain management treatments is considered an asset.
