Job Overview Looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist or two to provide in-home based massage therapy for individuals who have been in automobile or work related accidents. The current coverage area need is in the state of Michigan. This is a contractual position. Round-trip travel time is also paid as well as a therapy contract rate. Hours vary depending on your interest in client case load. Immediate need in Sterling Heights Michigan and Alpena, MI. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assessing clients' needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic massages to promote relaxation and alleviate pain. Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, tailored to individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the most effective treatment strategies for pain management and overall wellness. Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to enhance treatment efficacy and client education. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment for clients and addressing their concerns with professionalism. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, particularly in occupational health settings. Keep accurate records of client treatments, progress, and any relevant medical history. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the treatment area to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist. Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, pain management techniques, and patient assessment practices. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to massage therapy. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and customer satisfaction. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in a clinical or wellness setting is preferred but not required.
