Job Description

The Massage Therapist focuses on delivering therapeutic massage services tailored to individual patient needs while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to support overall patient wellness and recovery. This position is scheduled for 64 hours per bi-weekly pay period, with scheduling flexibility that includes some after hours and weekend coverage. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provides high-quality, patient-centered massage therapy treatments based on individualized care plans. Utilizes a variety of massage modalities (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, prenatal, and other therapeutic techniques) to address specific patient conditions and goals. Assesses patients' conditions, medical histories, and treatment objectives to develop appropriate therapy approaches. Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as needed. Educates patients on treatment plans, self-care techniques, stretching, posture, and injury prevention strategies Documents progress notes for each patient treated. Follows established policies, procedures, and safety precautions with use of modalities and equipment to prevent injury. Provides patient care in a safe manner during treatments. Completes all documentation in adherence to Astera Health and CMS standard within 24 hours of treatment session. Works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Assists patients with scheduling appointments or coordinating care as needed to support continuity of treatment. Supports the mission and positively exhibits the values of Astera Health through personal conduct and behaviors. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Education and experience required:
Successful completion of accredited Massage Therapy Program Successful completion of the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) BLS Certified 3+ years of experience is preferred Pay or shift range: $29.56 USD to $44.34 USD Astera Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
