We strongly believe that ones emotional well-being and physical health are linked. Mind & Body offers a multidisciplinary team of providers to our clients. In addition to psychotherapy, we provide psychiatric medication management, medical nutrition therapy, acupuncture, reiki, therapeutic movement classes (fitness/yoga), personal training, yoga therapy, and massage therapy. We proudly offer all these services at one location in Garner, North Carolina. We are expanding and opening a new facility (September) right behind our current practice. Along with additional offices for psychotherapy, this building will have 4 dedicated treatment rooms for acupuncture, massage, and reiki and a beautiful studio for our Therapeutic Movement classes (fitness/yoga). We have an opportunity for an experienced Massage Therapist; trained and comfortable treating, trauma, PTSD, and Veterans. Familiarity with accepting VA payment and treating clients with chronic pain and illness is a huge plus. Mind & Body needs someone who can work alongside acupuncturists and therapists to treat patients and help grow the bodywork part of our holistic treatment program.

Job Requirements:

Minimum two years of experience - Required Completed 500 hours of massage therapy courses Must hold current NC License (LMBT) and Professional Liability Insurance Strong interpersonal communication skills Time management abilities Demonstrated sales and customer service skills Swedish/Relaxation, Therapeutic, and Deep Tissue Massage Proficiency required Experience with the following techniques are desirable but not required: emotional release, pregnancy massage, craniosacral therapy, hot stones, cupping, reiki, medical massage and/or trauma informed. Able to schedule and provide massage therapy services throughout the week while offering some evening and weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

Provide 60-90 minute massages to clients by appointment Enter availability and monitor appointments scheduled using our scheduling platform (Acuity/SquareSpace) Guide clients through offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods Suggest future massage appointments and recommend packages to clients when appropriate. Be attuned to clients during sessions and adjust technique as desired
