Administrative Support Competitive compensation We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage and Body Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them achieve relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. You will utilize your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assess patient needs and deliver customized treatments that enhance their physical and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for helping others. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences. Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management strategies. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to tailor treatments for optimal results. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with health regulations. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for ongoing care. Document treatment plans and client progress accurately in medical records. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that prioritizes customer service and patient satisfaction. Work within a team to bring an integrative approach to helping our clients achieve a better overall wellbeing. Requirements Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by state regulations. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology. Experience with various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care. Ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs and treatment options. Previous experience in a med spa or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory. Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of massage therapy. Trained in various modalities such as: Reiki, Yoga, Accupressure, Accupunture, Essential oils, etc. If you have these skills already all the better, but not necessary. Willing or open to teaching classes as well. We are looking for someone to come in on Wednesdays, late afternoon, evenings, and some weekends. We will also be opening up our Durham office for massage therapy in the next 6 months, so the massage therapist may have an opportunity to go to Durham as well, if wanted.
