Required Qualifications:

New York State Licensed Massage Therapist with 3 years' experience Bachelor's Degree Consistent on campus, flexible, day and evening availability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with diverse massage therapy modalities and techniques Additional Qualifications Master's Degree required for science-based courses.

Ex:

Myology and Kinesiology and Neurology. Licensed Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Chiropractors, or similar licensed professionals are welcome to apply. Co-teaching options with NYS licensed Massage Therapist opportunities are available.

Responsibilities:

Teaching on campus 1-2 days per week. (Day and Evening classes available) 8 Week commitment to each course at a time. Courses consist of lectures, labs and hands on massage techniques Example courses to teach are Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and more. Encourage student participation Foster a positive learning environment Teaching to support students' preparation for NYS massage therapy examination. Staying current on massage industry trends, research and advancements Support Massage Therapy Chair to provide community events Passion for helping students succeed in their educational and professional pursuits. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Courses taught are 1-3 credit courses
