Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals. Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care practices to support ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with privacy regulations. Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort, address questions about medical terminology or physiology concepts, and tailor sessions accordingly. Adhere to all safety protocols including CPR certification and proper hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive pain management or rehabilitation plans. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in massage therapy. Proven experience in providing diverse massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports therapy, prenatal massage, and trigger point therapy. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health. Demonstrated ability in patient assessment and client communication to develop personalized treatment plans. Prior experience working in med spa settings or occupational health environments is preferred. Certification in CPR and familiarity with pain management techniques are highly desirable.
