Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage to treatments to meet individual patient needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safe, effective therapy sessions. Communicate clearly with patients to understand their concerns, explain treatment procedures, and provide guidance on post-massage care. Maintain detailed records of each session, including client preferences, treatment outcomes, and any relevant medical information. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols. Stay informed about the latest developments in massage therapy techniques and physiology knowledge to continually enhance your skills. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Requirements Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and deep tissue techniques. Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Experience with pain management strategies and client assessment procedures preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to therapeutic practices is preferred.
