Surge Wellness in Portland, OR is hiring a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our integrated health and wellness team. You'll have a full suite of administrative and marketing support so you can focus entirely on your craft and client care. Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop customized treatment plans. Excellent communication, intake assessment, and active listening skills. Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and health history in compliance with privacy regulations. Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements. Ensure all safety protocols are followed by maintaining certifications such as CPR and adhering to sanitation standards. Punctual, dependable, and passionate about long-term client outcomes. Active, unencumbered Oregon Massage Therapy License (OBMT). Active liability insurance. Experience Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification. Proven experience in massage therapy with a focus on pain management, sports therapy, or therapeutic settings preferred. Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assess patient needs and deliver effective treatments. Hands-on experience with various massage modalities including Deep Tissue Therapy, Trigger Point, Craniosacral, Myofascial Release, Visceral/Abdominal massage, Lymphatic Drainage, etc. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients about treatment options and progress. Familiarity with CPR certification and adherence to occupational health standards is required for safety compliance. Contract Position - 60/40 split Open to employee position as well if that is preferred by LMT, would include opportunity for Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance. Pay structure would be slightly different.
