Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of pain or tension. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on self-care practices. Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, client progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information. Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and maintaining equipment in excellent condition. Stay informed about the latest massage therapy techniques and industry standards to continually enhance your skills. Collaborate with other health professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice professionally. Proven experience in providing various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pain management strategies. Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and deliver compassionate care. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or first aid is required. Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is preferred but not mandatory.
