Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to address client concerns. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop customized treatment plans. Utilize your knowledge of physiology and anatomy to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions while adhering to medical terminology standards. Communicate clearly with clients about their treatment options, progress, and post-session care instructions to enhance their experience. Maintain accurate documentation of each session, including client history, treatment details, and progress notes in compliance with health regulations. Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment by following proper sanitation protocols and safety procedures such as CPR certification requirements. Stay current with industry trends, new techniques like sports massage or trigger point therapy, and expand your skills through ongoing education. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy from an accredited program. Proven experience in massage therapy modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, or sports massage. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pain management techniques. Prior experience working in med spas or occupational health settings is preferred. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient service and customer satisfaction. Ability to assess patient needs accurately and adapt treatments accordingly while maintaining professional integrity. CPR certification is required; additional certifications in specialized therapies are a plus. $27.23 - $32.79 per hour
