Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various massage techniques and therapies, with a focus on enhancing the physical and emotional well-being of our clients. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while effectively addressing clients' needs through personalized treatment plans. Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management strategies tailored to individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on client history and specific concerns. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform techniques and ensure safe, effective treatments. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided and progress made, using medical terminology as necessary. Provide education to clients regarding self-care practices and the benefits of regular massage therapy. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and professionalism in the treatment area, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients. Collaborate with other wellness professionals in a med spa setting to provide comprehensive care. Requirements Valid massage therapy license in accordance with state regulations. Strong understanding of occupational health principles and practices. Proficiency in customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices. Experience or training in pain management techniques is preferred. Ability to conduct patient assessments effectively, with a focus on individual needs. Familiarity with various massage modalities, including but not limited to deep tissue and trigger point therapy.
