Ameliorating Harmony Massage, LLC is seeking a skilled, dependable Clinical Massage Therapist for our Columbia, SC location. This is a part-time opportunity for a therapist who is comfortable providing focused therapeutic bodywork for clients experiencing chronic pain, muscular tension, myofascial restrictions, previous injuries, mobility concerns, and other musculoskeletal conditions. We are specifically looking for a therapist who demonstrates strong clinical skills, professional judgment, emotional maturity, accountability, punctuality, and professional boundaries. This position is best suited for someone who treats massage therapy as a serious professional commitment and values consistency, structure, and high-quality client care. The position will initially consist of approximately 1-2 days per week, with the potential for additional scheduled days based on practice needs, contractor availability, reliability, and performance. Client appointments are scheduled through Ameliorating Harmony Massage based on practice needs and contractor availability. Responsibilities Provide individualized clinical and therapeutic massage based on client needs, pain patterns, muscular tension, functional limitations, and treatment goals. Perform deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular techniques, myofascial release, therapeutic stretching, compression techniques, and other appropriate therapeutic modalities within scope of practice. Incorporate appropriate supportive modalities such as heat therapy, cupping, and infrared therapy when indicated. Complete required clinical treatment documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor and document client response to treatment. Maintain appropriate professional and therapeutic boundaries. Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled appointments. Communicate professionally with clients and practice administration. Work within established clinical, documentation, and professional standards. Qualifications Active South Carolina Massage Therapy License required before independently providing massage therapy services. Professional liability insurance required. Strong skills in deep tissue and therapeutic massage. Experience with trigger point therapy, neuromuscular techniques, myofascial release, chronic pain management, and therapeutic stretching preferred. Ability to perform focused therapeutic work for clients with multiple areas of muscular tension and chronic discomfort. Strong communication and documentation skills. Dependable, punctual, professional, and detail oriented. Experience working with chronic pain populations, medically referred clients, rehabilitation-focused massage, or clinical bodywork is preferred but not required. Therapists currently completing South Carolina licensing requirements may apply. Applicants licensed in another state who are preparing for the MBLEx and/or completing the South Carolina licensing process may also be considered. All South Carolina licensing requirements must be completed before independently providing massage therapy services.
