Job Description
Licensed Massage Therapist W-2 Employee FLX Massage Therapy & Wellness | The Read House FLX Massage Therapy & Wellness is seeking a motivated, professional Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our team as a W-2 employee at our location at The Read House. This position combines hands-on massage therapy with guest engagement, scheduling, chair massage, light cleaning, and helping create visibility and bookings for FLX. Schedule This position is scheduled for 20 hours per week, consisting of 4 hours per day, Wednesday through Sunday. Wednesday - Sunday 4 hours per day 20 hours per week During these scheduled hours, the therapist is expected to be present at the FLX Read House location and available to perform massage services, assist guests, schedule appointments, offer chair massage, and complete other assigned responsibilities. All hours worked must be accurately recorded. Compensation The position includes a $200 nonrecoverable weekly draw/guaranteed base compensation for the regularly scheduled 20-hour workweek. The $200 weekly guarantee will not be required to be repaid to FLX if the therapist's commissions do not reach $200. The therapist will also earn 35% commission on eligible massage services performed. Each workweek, compensation will be calculated and the therapist will receive the greater of: $200 guaranteed weekly compensation for the scheduled 20-hour workweek; or 35% commission on eligible massage services performed during that workweek. The $200 guarantee and 35% commission are not added together. Example If the therapist's 35% commission equals $175 for the week, the therapist receives the guaranteed $200. If the therapist's 35% commission equals $400 for the week, the therapist receives $400. The goal is for therapists to build enough massage appointments that their 35% commission regularly exceeds the guaranteed weekly compensation. Employees also receive 100% of their individual client tips, subject to FLX tipping and payroll policies. FLX will maintain records of all hours worked and will make any wage adjustments necessary to comply with applicable federal and Tennessee wage-and-hour requirements. Responsibilities During Scheduled Hours When you do not have a massage scheduled, your paid time is still active working time.
