A Massage Therapist uses massage to relieve tension, pain, and other ailments in patients, and promote general well-being. May specialize in a certain type of massage, such as deep-tissue or sports massage. May be self-employed or work in a private practice, spa, fitness center, or medical or chiropractic care facility.
Who We Are LaVie is a premium mental longevity clinic in Austin, where longevity is understood as psychological first. We bring together, as one coordinated team: psychotherapy, neuropsychology, cognitive performance coaching, performance acupuncture, and somatic massage therapy — giving high-performing, busy individuals a place that finally understands the whole of who they are.
Our philosophy:
Prevent. Optimize. Sustain. We're not here to fix things once they break, we optimize while you're still well. Opening around November 2027. This is a genuinely new project and a new concept in Austin, offering real opportunities for professional growth as it takes shape. The Role As our Somatic Massage Therapist, you won't be offering simple relaxation, your work helps reset the nervous system and raise our patients' physical baseline, in direct dialogue with the rest of their care (psychological, cognitive, performance). You'll be part of a genuinely integrated team: your practice connects with the work of other practitioners through a monthly coordination meeting, where everyone aligns on each patient's plan. At LaVie, every practitioner follows a deliberately limited patient list, so each person remains a person, never just a file. Duties Deliver tailored therapeutic sessions, integrating techniques such as deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, and sports massage to address each patient's specific goals Conduct thorough assessments of each patient's health history, current concerns, and treatment objectives Develop customized treatment plans grounded in a solid understanding of physiology and anatomy Communicate clearly with patients about the treatment process, expectations, and post-session care Maintain accurate session documentation, tracking each patient's progress over time Uphold a safe, comfortable environment in line with occupational health and sanitation standards Stay current on developments in massage therapy and nervous-system-informed recovery practices What We're Looking For Established experience in somatic massage therapy and modalities such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports massage, with a real understanding of the body-nervous system connection — beyond pure relaxation Valid massage therapy certification from an accredited program, with current CPR certification Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and pain management principles A performance- and prevention-oriented approach, suited to high-achieving individuals (executives, entrepreneurs, business leaders, high performers) Strong patient assessment and communication skills Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team, with regular coordination alongside other practitioners An eye for detail and presence, matching LaVie's standard: clinical precision within a warm, refined environment Compensation W-2 employee position Base rate + 20% of the session price, rewarding both stability and your contribution to each client relationship Room for growth as the practice develops, real opportunity to evolve alongside the project Get in Touch Reach out to us at: hello@laviemindlongevity.com Looking forward to meeting you.
