JOB SUMMARY

The Licensed Massage Therapist-LMT in this position, will have a passion for supporting clients through complex healing journeys. The incumbent will provide therapeutic massage services to support our physical therapy patients. We are seeking a therapist familiar with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and passionate about helping clients achieve their wellness goals. The Licensed Massage Therapist has the ability to work with patients managing breast cancer recovery, lymphedema, or lipedema, scar tissue mobilization, post-surgical care and post-acute trauma.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide therapeutic massage Develop treatment plans based on client needs Use EMR systems for client scheduling and record-keeping Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Maintain a clean and professional environment Will submit records to the Doctor for Chiropractic treatment, and take notes/direction according to the needs/health of the patient LMT is expected to follow all HIPAA guidelines and regulations, as well as follow all state and local laws as they relate to the practice of massage therapy

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED Valid Massage Therapy License required Expanded knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Occupational Health Knowledge of body treatments Possess expertise in pain management, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient assessment. MA Licensed Massage Therapist welcomed Bilingual welcomed

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED AA Degree or higher welcomed

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION

Valid Massage Therapy License required

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proficiency in anatomy and physiology knowledge Experience in acute pain management Strong understanding of trigger point therapy Excellent patient service skills Knowledge of massage techniques Extremely conscientious with excellent organizational skills. Capable of working independently and as a team member. Must be very customer service oriented.
