Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our physical medicine and Rehabilitacion facility. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to provide therapeutic massage treatments that enhance patient recovery, improve mobility, and promote overall wellness. This position requires a deep understanding of various massage techniques and the ability to tailor treatments to individual patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote recovery.
  • Assess patients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with other providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting treatments and patient progress.
  • Educate patients on self-care techniques, including stretching, strengthening exercises, and the use of other appropriate medical devices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment, adhering to facility protocols and sanitation standards.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in massage therapy and continuing education requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning discussions.
Qualifications:
  • Valid state license or certification as a Massage Therapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably in physical therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform massage therapy techniques effectively.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a clinical setting.
  • May require standing for long periods and using hands and other medical devices to apply massage techniques.
  • Flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
