Responsibilities Discuss client concerns, medical histories and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to massage treatment. Massage soft body tissues to relieve discomfort and provide treatment for injuries, wellness maintenance or medical conditions. Educates the clients on the benefits of the service performed and recommends products for home use Knowledge of other modalities/certifications a plus Maintain confidentiality of patient personal health information in accordance with HIPAA compliance. Adhere to local and state licensing/certification laws. Adhere to the clinic mission, policies, standards, and goals. Maintain a professional and clean working environment and appearance Skills & Qualifications Customer service oriented: must exhibit a strong desire to help others and be able to effectively communicate the benefits of massage therapy in a professional, courteous, friendly, and sincere manner. Ability to work within a team environment. Successful completion of an accredited massage therapy certificate program requiring a minimum 500 hours of instruction plus supervised clinical hours. 1 year of professional massage experience is preferred.
