Responsibilities:
  • Perform therapeutic massages on clients to address their specific needs and concerns
  • Assess clients' medical history, symptoms, and conditions to determine appropriate massage techniques
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to target specific muscle groups and provide relief from pain and tension
  • Utilize deep tissue massage techniques to alleviate chronic muscle tightness and promote relaxation
  • Incorporate trigger point therapy to release knots and improve range of motion
  • Provide acute pain management for clients with injuries or post-surgery recovery
  • Collaborate with chiropractors to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes and progress reports
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of common conditions and injuries
  • Strong patient assessment skills to identify areas of concern and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
  • Expertise in deep tissue massage techniques for targeted muscle relief
  • Familiarity with pain management strategies to address chronic pain conditions
  • Ability to perform physical examinations to assess clients' range of motion and muscular imbalances
  • Experience in trigger point therapy to release muscle tension and improve mobility
  • Understanding of occupational health considerations for specific client populations

$40.00 per hour
License/Certification:
Utah Massage Therapy License (Required)
