Job Description
About us Alyeska Trauma & Acute General Surgery or ATAGS is a newly established clinical service, within the Alyeska Medical family of companies. ATAGS serves as the direct Trauma service for Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, AK and is managed and backed to its parent company Alyeska Vascular Surgery which has over 50 employees, estalished in 2012. The new group embodies the core, compassion, and dedication as our parent company. We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to To provide premier trauma and acute general surgery within the Alaska healthcare community..

Modern office setting Growth opportunities ```Duties:
```- Provide direct patient care in a outpatient or clinical setting
- Serve as the main point of contact for answering clinical calls, scheduling patients , patient documentation within EMR
- Assist in preperation and coorindation of clinic, work along side surgery scheduler
- Assist in documentation retrievival for medical records and benefit coorindation pursuant to the direction of billing/coding team
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer basic life support measures when necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with patient education and provide information on medical conditions and treatments
- Other duties assigned.
Experience:
```- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
Skills:
- Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification preferred
