Duties Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR). Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, including phlebotomy and medication administration when qualified. Manage patient intake processes, verify insurance information, update medical histories, and ensure proper documentation of medical records. Support clinical workflows by performing basic diagnostic tasks such as X-ray positioning or assisting with EMR/EHR management. Conduct patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance strategies aligned with physiology knowledge and medical terminology. Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and ensure the cleanliness of clinical areas. Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital environments, preferably within dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care settings. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and pharmacology principles. Previous exposure to hospital medicine or Level I/II trauma center environments is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required. Experience performing phlebotomy, X-ray procedures, or assisting in emergency medicine situations is advantageous. Familiarity with outpatient procedures such as medication administration and medical documentation practices enhances your ability to excel in this role.
