Multiple openings About the Position We are seeking experienced Clinical Assistant 2 / Medical Assistants to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy outpatient healthcare setting in Juneau, Alaska. The Clinical Assistant 2 works closely with healthcare providers to maintain efficient patient flow and provide high-quality patient care. The position serves patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients. For the Urgent Care opening, previous Urgent Care experience isREQUIRED.
Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for provider visits Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories Review patient charts and identify follow-up needs Update medication and immunization records Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection Perform 12-lead EKGs and peak-flow testing Assist with nebulizer treatments, ear lavage, cast removal, and simple dressing changes Perform diabetic foot screenings Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures Apply oxygen and other treatments as ordered Provide basic patient education and discharge instructions Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record Clean, sanitize, and prepare examination rooms Maintain clinical and laboratory supplies Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards Perform equipment quality-assurance checks Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Answer phones and assist patients with general inquiries Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and other healthcare staff Provide cross-coverage and perform other duties as assignedQualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience Completion of a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program OR qualifying experience as a CNA, EMT, CHA, or Clinical Assistant Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures Ability to accurately document patient information in an EHR Strong communication and organizational skills Excellent customer-service skills Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environmentUrgent Care Opening:
