Job Description

Algone Premier Pain is seeking an experienced, compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dedicated care team. As an integral part of our clinic, the MA supports patient care delivery by working closely with clinicians, staff, and patients to ensure an efficient, respectful, and healing environment. Medical Assistants at Algone serve as the frontline support team, bridging the gap between clinical providers and patient needs. This role is ideal for candidates who are proactive, collaborative, and committed to high-quality care in a pain management setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for examination; collect and document vital signs, medical history, weight, and other clinical data. Assist providers with exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing. Maintain clean, well-stocked, and organized exam and procedure rooms; prepare equipment and ensure readiness for clinical use. Educate patients and families on provider instructions, diagnostic procedures, medications, and general wellness topics. Accurately document clinical information and test results in electronic medical records (EMR); support providers with scribing when appropriate. Manage referrals, imaging, lab orders, and pharmacy communications under provider direction. Answer and triage patient phone calls related to care, prescriptions, and follow-up. Perform additional duties as assigned by providers or clinic leadership.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum one year of clinical experience required, ideally in a pain management or specialty clinic setting.
Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred, but not required.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and medical terminology. Proficient in infection control protocols, patient confidentiality, and health documentation. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in a fast-paced clinical setting. Flexible, team-oriented, and proactive in supporting patient care needs.
Physical & Mental Demands:
Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Manual dexterity and coordination for handling instruments and patients. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain focused and calm under pressure, including in urgent care scenarios.
Salary:
