Job Description

Job Summary As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of our clinic, providing exceptional patient care and support. As the first impression, both over the phone and in person, we want to create a positive and welcoming experience for all of our patients. You'll manage multi-line phone systems, assist with scheduling, and ensure smooth office operations while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere. The Medical Assistant provides a full range of duties and support as part of the patient medical care team. Primary duties of this position are: collecting patient vital signs, point of care testing, proper and detailed documentation, medication reconciliation, maintaining patient flow, stocking exam rooms, giving injections, assisting with procedures and treatments, communicating with efficiency and verifying that: labs, pathology reports, ultrasound and/or operative reports are available for the provider, and may assist the provider with appropriate patient education and communication. What you'll do Greet and assist all patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed. Manage incoming calls through multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette. Schedule appointments and ensure all patient information and insurance is updated correctly. Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and proofreading documents, and checking insurance eligibility. Provide patient care by addressing inquiries and problems promptly and take detailed messages for nursing staff. Maintain office organization through efficient office management practices. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall efficiency of the front desk operations. Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures. Take patient medical history and vital signs. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers. Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens. Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment. Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records. Provide patient education and instructions. Basic qualifications Proficient computer skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Preferred qualifications Previous experience as a medical receptionist including Medisys system and Webchart EHR is a plus. Familiarity with personal assistant duties such as schedule management is advantageous. Understanding and performing HIPAA compliance.
