Summary:
Works under the supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care and communication for patients, team members, professional, and technical staff, and visitors.Other information:
Candidate must have at least one of the following: Six months of patient care experience within the last two years. Enrolled in a medical related college program and in clinical rotation. CNA,CMA, PCT or EMT certification. Credentials withEquivalent Qualifications:

1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Patient Care Support or any of the following equivalent qualifications below: Certified Nursing Assistant Certified Medical Assistant AAMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certified Medical Assistant ARMA Certified Patient Care Technician Certified Emergency Medical Technician ADPH The Cardiac Care Unit is a 16 bed step-down telemetry unit that provides care for pediatric patients that require close monitoring for conditions such as: congenital or acquired heart disease; pre and/or post-operative care of patients with congenital or acquired heart disease; dysrhythmias; cardiomyopathy; pre and post-operative care of cardiac transplants; ventricular assist devices (VAD); and administration of continuous low dose vasoactive/inotropic infusions.
