Job Description

True Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is an Alabama-based dermatology practice specializing in skin cancer surgery, reconstruction, and prevention, as well as medical dermatology. Led by Dr. Raj Patel, a double board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon, the practice delivers the highest-quality care with precision and confidence. Our team is seeking a Medical Assistant with a career in dermatology. The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multitask. Our team members are responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultations and procedures, through the following responsibilities:
Your Responsibilities:
Prepare examination rooms for each appointment, ensuring cleanliness, and stock them with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies. Focus on the patient experience. Responsible for gathering patient information, informed consent, and payment information Assist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and scheduling patient follow-up appointments. Provide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family members. Accurately complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as required Complete logs and send specimens to the laboratory Perform other tasks and duties as directed
Experience and Education:
2 years of combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification are preferred Hands-on experience in a clinical setting Experience with EMR Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
