Private Dermatology practice is currently seeking a full time medical assistant / LPN to join our team . We are looking for a motivated, personable, articulate individual who enjoys helping patients in a fast paced environment. Previous dermatology and/or surgical environment experience is a plus, but not required. We offer a Derm-Tech program for qualified individuals without prior Dermatology experience.. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients Enter laboratory services Send prescriptions electronically or by fax. Verbally call in prescriptions Administer injections, perform urinalysis Assist during medical examinations and procedures Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Punctual and self disciplined Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills

Education:

High school or equivalent Medical Assisting Diploma Derm Tech Program Salary to be determined based on experience, job interview, and work interview if applicable.
