Job Summary :
The Clinical Float supports healthcare providers by assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks as needed. This dual role requires flexibility to float between clinical & front office departments, locations or providers, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Float Responsibilities Rotate between different clinic locations as needed to provide both clinical assistance to medical providers and administrative support, ensuring continuity of care and efficient operations at each site. Adapt to different workflows, team dynamics, and patient needs at each location, maintaining a high standard of care and customer service. Clinical Support Support orthopedic providers during patient exams by assisting with injection procedure, taking vital signs, preparing patients for treatment, and ensuring equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Assist patients with mobility, help with the application of orthopedic devices (walking boots, wrist braces etc.), and provide patient education on treatment plans and aftercare. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use. Provide support for administrative tasks when needed, including patient check-in, scheduling, and coordinating patient flow within the clinic.
Front Desk Support:
Assist with patient intake, check-in/check-out procedures, and patient communications, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients through the clinic. Handle phone calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and general office tasks. Ensure that patient records are accurately updated and managed across both clinical and administrative systems.

High School Diploma Knowledge of medical terminology Strong typing and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple responsibilities at once. Must be able to float between multiple clinic locations and adapt to varying workflows.
Preferred :
Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a clinical support role (ideally in orthopedics or musculoskeletal care) is highly desirable. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., ECW, Phreesia, etc.). Experience with front desk operations and patient scheduling is a plus.
