Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments for procedures like X-ray, phlebotomy, and medication administration. Support clinical procedures by performing phlebotomy and administering medications under supervision. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, ICD coding, and treatment plans. Facilitate patient communication by providing clear instructions on medication use, follow-up care, and appointment scheduling. Maintain medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and assist with medical documentation for billing and insurance purposes. Support hospital or outpatient clinic operations by managing medical supplies inventory and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth workflow. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, dermatology, or emergency medicine settings. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medical records management. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy. Familiarity with clinical procedures such as vital signs measurement, specimen collection (phlebotomy), medication administration, X-ray support, and intake processes. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments; inpatient experience is highly valued. Excellent organizational skills to manage medical documentation accurately while supporting multiple providers across diverse specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics.
