Job Description
Job Title:
Maintenance TechnicianSchedule:
Full-Time (Rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned)Pay Range:
$25.00 - $34.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and technical skills) About the Role Join our team at the Theodore Cement Plant as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems across our facility. Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks on mechanical systems throughout the facility.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, servicing, and lubricating equipment as required.
- Work alongside and provide oversight to contractor personnel.
- Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs, broadening technical and non-technical skills through cross-training activities.
- Work a rotating shift schedule, including assigned weekends.
- Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work areas, promoting a culture of safety.
- Assist other departments and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements Required:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.Experience:
2-4 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.Technical Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, bearing repair, drive repair, equipment installation, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication.Computer Skills:
Effective computer and systems skills.Travel:
Minimal.Preferred:
- 2-year technical college degree in a related technical field.
- 4-5 years of industrial chemical or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
Safety & Physical Requirements:
- Candidates must adhere to all site safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators.
- Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing. Compensation & Benefits
