General Summary:

The employee in this position will be responsible for obtaining vitals, chief complaint and initial history. The employee will obtain vision and hearing screenings as age appropriate. The employee will enter this information into the EHR and verbally communicate results to the provider as necessary. The employee will access the patient's immunization record, both in the clinics EHR as well as in WEBIZ to assess the patients vaccine needs. This information will be relayed to the provider who will then confirm or correct. Employee will assist in obtaining labs and will give injections and other medications as ordered by the provider. Employee will draw and give age-appropriate Immunizations on the order of the provider. The employee will then document these Immunizations on the Vaccine Log form, in the patient medical record and WEBIZ. The employee will schedule follow-up appointments. The employee will be responsible for cleaning rooms and rooming patients. The employee will be responsible for taking inventory of medical supplies and will make the provider aware when new supplies is needed. The employee in this position will have the responsibility for obtaining samples for testing on the order of the provider. The employee will also run CLIA-waived testes in the clinic laboratory. The employee will send Referrals and complete Prior Authorizations.
