Arkansas Pain Specialists A busy pain management practice that offers a variety of services such as: Epidural Steroid Injections Radiofrequency Ablations Spinal Cord Stimulators Intrathecal Pain Pumps Nerve Blocks Medical Marijuana Evaluations Located at 2707 Market Trace, Fort Smith Open Monday - Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm with rare Fridays Currently seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy pain management clinic.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of health care field and medical specialties. Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families. Medical terminology, spelling, correct grammar Vitals, phlebotomy skills, lab specimens, assisting physician with interventional procedures such as radiofrequency ablations, epidurals, nerve blocks Ability to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
Preferred Education:
Completion of approved MA training program
Preferred Experience:
Two or more years of pain management medical assistant experience highly preferred
Preferred:
Familiar with the EMR athenahealth and/or pain management
