Medical Assistant (MA) - BH McClintock Family Clinic Harrison, AR Location $1,000 / 1 Year Commitment Incentive• BH McClintock Family Medicine, is a full service medical clinic that has been serving North Arkansas since 1985. We take pride in providing comprehensive medical care for the entire family. We specialize in providing care for children, adults and seniors. The providers understand the need to provide efficient and effective medical care. We treat each patient like our own family. Our compassionate, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible. We provide effective care that is responsive to the needs of the community of Harrison. We are committed to being on the forefront of medicine and have invested in becoming a fully electronic clinic. We have digital X-ray as well as a fully functional electronic medical record which provides electronic prescriptions as well as electronic communication with the practice.
SUMMARY:
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a provider, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding information for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, and preparing patients for examination.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years related work experience preferred. Previous medical office experience preferred.
Other:
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
Preferred Education:
Certified Nurse Assistant Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk, and bend, stoop and twist up to 8-10 hours during shift(s). Spends 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Acuity to the five senses is required in contact with patients, family members, physicians and coworkers. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 20 lbs.
