Job Description

Candidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience and a job history exhibiting stability and longevity. The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive: Serve as a patient advocate during patient exams and treatment. Recording medical history and confirming the purpose of the visit. Ensure proper documentation is obtained prior to preparing the patient for treatment. Prepares patients for examination. Help providers examine and treat patients. Many hands-on elements such as blood draws, injections, wound care, and assisting during procedures are a requirement for this position. HIPAA compliance and safe OSHA practices Maintain accurate electronic charts in EHR Patient Education Returning patient phone calls Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies Collecting, documenting, and delivering lab specimens
Medical Assistant/ Nurse Skills and Qualifications:
Willingness to learn new skills. Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients. Organization. Possess a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism. Confidentiality. Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients. Practices teamwork.

Schedule:
8-hour shift. May have to travel for training to one of our other offices.
