Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Perform phlebotomy and medication administration under supervision, adhering to safety protocols and medication guidelines Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, updating medical records, and coding diagnoses using ICD standards Conduct basic physiology assessments and assist with patient education on treatment plans or medication usage Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while complying with infection control standards and hospital policies Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with a background in outpatient or inpatient settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent, phlebotomy or medication administration are preferred Hands-on experience with medical documentation, vital signs collection, and patient service delivery in inpatient or outpatient settings Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Must be willing to obtain BLS, phlebotomy, medication administration, or radiologic technology license, upon employment
