Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No nights, weekends, or PRN) Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) to join a dynamic, fast-growing healthcare organization focused on senior care and Value-Based Care. Key Responsibilities Patient Intake & Screening:

Room members, take and record vital signs, record medical histories, and conduct routine screenings (including PHQ-9 depression and diabetic eye exams).

Clinical Procedures:

Perform phlebotomy/lab draws with a high degree of skill, administer EKGs, give injections, perform wound dressings, suture removals, and other first-aid tasks.

Patient Engagement & Coaching:

Allot extended appointment time (up to 45 minutes) to listen, build trust, engage with elderly patients, and provide health coaching.

Clinical Admin Support:

Manage inbox messages, process phone calls and relay information, navigate external EMRs, and coordinate stat referrals.

Provider Support:

Act as a key clinical support member to primary care physicians, ensuring smooth patient flow and assisting with quality care measures.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

High School Diploma / GED required; Medical Assistant Diploma / Certification required .

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of hands-on Medical Assistant experience required. 6+ months of strong, hands-on Phlebotomy / Blood Draw experience required. Demonstrated proficiency with EKGs required. Experience working with a geriatric / senior patient population is highly preferred.

EMR Proficiency:

Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or AthenaHealth is strongly preferred.

Certifications:

Current

CPR / BLS

certification required.
