Job Description

Pathology Professor Experienced full-time educator(s) with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor are needed to join the department of Pathology at Trinity Medical Sciences University/Trinity School of Medicine. A community of professionals, Trinity is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research and scholarly engagement, as well as community involvement. The basic science section of the MD program, the pre-medical program, and Master's program are all based on the stunning Caribbean island of St. Vincent, while the clinical science component is located in Warner Robins, Georgia. Successful applicants will be expected to work on the St. Vincent campus.
Job Description:
Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence Working in integrated curriculum Apply unique, innovative teaching-learning and student-advising strategies Implement content on pathology and histology in the MD and Pre-med programs. Collaborate effectively with basic science & clinical science faculty to enhance course design, didactics delivery, lab instruction, seminar facilitation, and active learning sessions. Create quizzes to gauge students' understanding of the information delivered, utilizing the most recent USMLE format for test questions. Didactics and questions should be based upon latest USMLE Content Outline. Work closely with Assistant/Associate Dean of Internal Assessment to choose

questions use in end of module exams Exhibit outstanding leadership abilities within the department and university. Participate actively in the various institutional committees the Dean assigns. Inform the Dean/Provost of the department's academic progress. Work with the other faculty to horizontally & vertically integrate pathology into other medical sciences courses and to engage in research activities. Maintain effective communication with the administration, faculty, staff, and students. Minimum Qualification MD or Ph. D. in the relevant subjects Experience in medical education in the Caribbean is preferred Expected Experience/Skills Expertise in instructing medical students in pathology Candidates must provide a complete CV, a statement of their teaching philosophy, the names, addresses, and email addresses of three references, as well as a cover letter outlining their level of interest, experience, suitability for the position, and their earliest date of availability should they be chosen. Preference will be given to candidates that can start the end of August or early September.
