Job Description
Job Summary Looking for Medical Assistant to help physicians and healthcare professionals with clinical procedures, patient interactions, and administrative tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations while delivering compassionate service to every patient. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and medication lists using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas meet safety standards. Support physicians during procedures by managing documentation, and ensuring patient comfort. Manage medical records accurately, including coding diagnoses with ICD codes and updating electronic health records efficiently. Conduct patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care to promote optimal health outcomes. Coordinate appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and manage administrative support duties to streamline clinic operations. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role. Knowledge of internal medicine, geriatrics, Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or X-ray technician are a plus. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management is essential for accurate documentation. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards. Ability to perform clinical procedures including medication administration, specimen collection (phlebotomy), vital signs measurement. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate attitude toward diverse patient populations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
