Job Description

We are a high-volume, fast-paced specialty practice specializing in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. We are seeking a dedicated, reliable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who can seamlessly blend clinical support with front-desk patient administration. Because we run a busy practice, the ideal candidate must thrive under pressure, possess strong multitasking abilities, and bring a warm, professional attitude to our team.
Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Administrative:
Warmly greet patients and manage front-desk check-in and check-out workflows. Schedule appointments for pulmonary consultations and sleep studies. Perform real-time insurance verifications and obtain prior authorizations for procedures, sleep studies, and medications. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding account balances at the time of service.
Back Office & Clinical:
Room patients, take vital signs, and collect comprehensive medical histories. Prepare patients for pulmonary and sleep evaluation visits. Assist physicians with clinical administrative tasks and patient follow-up communication.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Must hold an active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA).
Experience:
Prior clinical or front-desk work experience is required, though motivated fresh graduates with active certification are strongly encouraged to apply!
Technical Skills:
Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is strongly preferred.
Core Competencies:
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, handle a high volume of patients with accuracy, and maintain strong communication skills in a small team setting.
Pay:
$18.50 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
