Medical Assistant (Dermatology) $22-$29/hour | Chino Valley, AZ (Relocating to Prescott Winter 2026) Looking for more than "just another MA job"? At Dermatology & Skin Care by Shelly, we're growing—and we're looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who genuinely loves patient care, enjoys learning, and wants to become an important part of a close-knit, privately owned dermatology practice. Our practice provides both medical and cosmetic dermatology , with a strong emphasis on compassionate care, patient education, and building lasting relationships. We're currently located in Chino Valley and are excited to be relocating into our beautiful new Prescott office this winter. About This Role This position works directly alongside our provider to deliver exceptional patient care while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. You'll assist with both medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, support patients throughout their visit, and become an integral part of a team that truly enjoys taking care of people. Who Thrives Here We're looking for someone who is: ✔ Kind, compassionate, and genuinely enjoys working with patients ✔ Calm under pressure and able to multitask ✔ Detail-oriented and highly organized ✔ Comfortable asking questions and eager to continue learning ✔ A strong communicator who values teamwork ✔ Someone who takes ownership and enjoys being part of a growing practice Responsibilities Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Preparing patients for examination and documenting dermatology history Assisting with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures Clinical documentation before, during, and after patient visits Assisting with biopsies, excisions, benign lesion removals, and cosmetic procedures Administering lidocaine injections as directed Patient education regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and aftercare Taking clinical photographs with patient consent Managing pathology specimens and laboratory coordination Maintaining accurate documentation within the EMR Preparing and sterilizing instruments and treatment rooms Maintaining inventory and stocking clinical supplies Supporting front office operations when needed Helping create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish Qualifications Required Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) Benefits Paid Time Off Employee Discount Flexible Schedule Opportunities for Growth Free Parking We'd Love to Meet You If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing dermatology practice where you'll continue to learn, be supported, and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives, we'd love to hear from you.
