Job Description

A to Z Dermatology is a privately owned practice seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical support to providers while ensuring an excellent patient experience and efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
Room patients and accurately document medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the EMR. Assist providers with dermatology examinations, biopsies, excisions, surgeries, and other procedures. Communicate pathology and laboratory results to patients under provider direction and coordinate appropriate follow-up care. Process prescription refill requests and complete medication prior authorizations. Manage patient calls, portal messages, referrals, and clinical tasks in a timely manner. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, wound care, and post-procedure instructions. Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies while maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards. Support patient scheduling, clinic flow, and other duties as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification preferred. Dermatology experience preferred but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications. Positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to patient care. $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
