About Us:
We are a busy, multi-provider gastroenterology practice in Mesa, AZ, dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to join our clinical team and support patient care and provider workflow.
Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in assisting providers with patient care, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR). The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, take vitals, and obtain medical histories Assist providers with procedures and examinations Administer injections or perform phlebotomy, if certified Document patient information accurately in the EHR Maintain exam rooms and ensure proper infection control Support patient education and follow-up care as directed Collaborate with front desk and clinical team to optimize patient flow
Qualifications:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (required) 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred, outpatient or specialty care a plus Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
