Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Pain Management Clinic. This role supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment and experienced with both patient care and pain management workflows. Duties & Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for appointments in a professional and empathetic manner Obtain and document vital signs, pain scores, and relevant patient history Assist providers with pain management procedures, including injections and minor in-office procedures Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and stocking of supplies Perform urine drug screens and other point-of-care testing as directed Verify insurance information and assist with prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, and medications Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Coordinate diagnostic imaging, referrals, and follow-up appointments Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and post-procedure instructions Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to providers Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Experience & Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant , preferably in a pain management or specialty clinic Familiarity with pain management terminology, procedures, and treatment plans Experience with EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting This job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 36.0 per weekBenefits:
