  • Neurology Established neurology clinic is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in general Neurology specialty.
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient charts for clinic visits, including answering phone calls and text messages, creating patient chart, schedule appointments, verify insurance and eligibility, and gather medical history records.
  • Obtain vital signs, patient medical history and chief complaints, and document in the EHR system
  • Interview patients and gether clinical information and assist with dignostic tests
  • Reconcile patient medication and allergy and update EHR
  • Request patient referrals / Authorizations, schedule follow up appointments and communicate follow-up instructions to patients.
  • Clean exam room after visit
  • Demonstrate empathy and sensitivity while interacting with patients, ensuring their comfort and confidentiality.
  • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Cross covers other clinic responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring their comfort.
Qualifications:
1. Accountable and passion for helping others 2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. 3. Spanish language preferred 4. Computer and typing skills required 5. College degree in nursing, pre-med or other medical majors, High school diploma or equivalent; Certified or working towards to Medical Assistant certification 6. Medical assistant working experience in a neurology clinic is a plus
